What we do for you
At Theranosticum Vienna, we support you with a clear, comprehensive approach. From precise diagnostics to individually tailored therapy, all steps are provided under one roof - carefully coordinated and managed by experienced specialists.
Together, we discuss the next steps, evaluate available options, and make decisions based on current scientific evidence and your individual circumstances.
PSMA PET/CT Diagnostics
PSMA PET/CT is a highly sensitive molecular imaging technique used to visualize prostate cancer cells. It enables precise detection of primary tumors, recurrences, and metastases, and often serves as the basis for further therapeutic decision-making.
PSMA Therapy
PSMA radioligand therapy is a targeted nuclear medicine treatment for advanced prostate cancer. It selectively irradiates PSMA-expressing tumor cells. The therapy is individually planned and closely monitored by our team.
Theranostics
PSMA PET/CT provides the molecular basis for therapy planning. On this basis, radioligand therapy can be applied in a targeted manner. The integrated interplay of diagnostics and therapy is a central component of our theranostic approach.

How quickly will I receive my results?
The time it takes to receive your results depends on the type of examination and the specific medical question. At Theranosticum Vienna, we place great importance on prompt and thorough reporting.
- After a PSMA PET/CT examination, the medical evaluation is usually carried out promptly. The written report is typically prepared within a short time and sent to you and/or your referring physician.
- In more complex cases, or if additional imaging or interdisciplinary coordination is required, the reporting process may take slightly longer.
Regardless, we will inform you transparently about when you can expect your results and what the next steps will be.
Note: All medical findings are evaluated by specialized physicians. The exact timeframe may vary depending on the individual case.

What should I bring to my first appointment?
For your first visit to Theranosticum Vienna, it is helpful to bring all available medical documents with you or—if possible—send them in advance. This allows our medical team to prepare optimally for your case.
If available, please bring:
- Medical reports and findings from previous examinations or treatments
- PSA history (including dates and values)
- Imaging such as CT, MRI, bone scans, or PSMA PET/CT reports (digital or printed)
- Recent laboratory results
- A list of current medications (including dosages)
- Insurance documents (e.g., e-card or details of private insurance)
- A valid photo ID
If some documents are not available, you can still attend your appointment. Our team will be happy to inform you in advance which documents are particularly relevant in your individual case.
Note: A complete set of medical records facilitates the medical assessment but is not a mandatory requirement for the initial appointment.
Is this a public (insurance-covered) or private service?
Services at Theranosticum Vienna are billed differently depending on the type of examination and the individual clinical situation.
PSMA PET/CT
This examination is not included in the statutory health insurance benefits catalogue in Austria. It is therefore generally considered a private service. In certain cases, however, partial or retrospective reimbursement by the health insurance provider may be possible. We will be happy to advise you individually.
PSMA Radioligand Therapy
Cost coverage depends on several factors, including the medical indication, prior treatment history, and specific approvals. In many cases, billing is also outside standard insurance coverage.
Note: Our team will gladly assist you with any questions regarding cost clarification and reimbursement submission to your health insurance provider.
